Okay, so I'm really really not doing anything today except practicing catching maltesers in my mouth, I may as well tell you what I've been up to this summer.
I finished all my exams in May and then we had prom in June and then high school was officially over. Yay.
I went to Bali in Indonesia with my mum and dad to see my brother because he's been out there for about 5 months because he was travelling around the world for his gap year. Bali's suchhh a nice country, I really enjoyed going, all the people are Hindu so they're really nice and happy all the time. My brother can now speak Indonesian and he has a Balenese girlfriend so we got to really see the island form a local person's perspective. Next year he's planning to move out there so it looks like I've got all my summer holidays for the rest of my life sorted ![]()
When I got back my friends Charlotte and Katie both went on holiday so me and Louise and occasionally other people went to Manchester a lot and we went to the cinema to see Mamma Mia! What an awesome film... Loved it. I was kind of gutted that I'd missed some good parties while I was away; apparently everyone was avoiding being sober for two weeks while we celebrated the end of our exams. But Louise caught me up on all the important gossip so it was all gravy.
I laughed a lot when I found out that Charlotte and her boyfriend, Sam, were planning to get matching tattoos and that Sam had gone and got his done. They'll look hilarious, but ahh well. Let them do it. Comedy value.
So then I think it was guide camp. We just went to tatton but us young leaders had been planning this for a while.. Camp was storybook themed so we dressed up every day. I personally think our wizards costumes were the best just because we walked around all day Expelliarmus-ing and Stupify-ing each other. How very hilarious. We also made videos but I'm not sure where they got to...
Most of them only live in Knutsford down the road so Lauren was planning to go home and get some oranges and inject them with vodka but, unfortunately, that didn't happen. I think my friends from guides are so hilarious, I like them better than my school friends a lot of the time.
So basically we spent the whole week running about in costumes like idiots. Sometimes, I think we're more immature than the Brownies.
So then the week after I had a dinner party for 8 of my friends from guides because I had a free house. And because I had a free house everyone brought alcohol and it turned into more of a house party than a dinner party. But thankfully it didn't go as far as a Skins party.
Eventually I gave up drunkenly stressing out at everyone than they had to stop drinking and get my house cleaned up and I lay down outside and cried until someone asked what was wrong. This went uphill from there and my mum thanked me for leaving the house in such a clean state in the morning, so I was happy. And I remember pretty much all of it, although I was quite worried when I woke up in the morning with a hickey on my neck but oh well. It went pretty quickly.
And then Vicky cleverly posted the pictures on facebook for the whole world to see. Well done..
Luckily my mum wasn't too bothered because the house wasn't trashed.
Still, I won't do it again.
Thenn.. It was my birthday
Yay. 16. Finally. I'm like, the youngest person in my year, ever. Presents included a camera, clothes, jewellery, handbags, chocolate, money.. Not bad
Oh, and a condom from Charlotte because, as she says, "You're legal... To buy lottery tickets
If you know what I mean."
And me, Katie, Charlotte and Louise went to alton towers for two days, one night, and stayed in the hotel. That was pretty cool. It rained quite a bit though, not that it really matters when you're on the log flume.
It has to be the best theme park everrr. Oblivion never fails to terrify me when it stops at the top of the 200 foot drop.
It was results day around the same time as my birthday as well, and I got 6 As, 3 Bs, 2 Cs and a pass in GNVQ ICT, which is enough to get into sixth form easily and do the subjects I want. Sociology, English Combined, French and Psychology. I'm also considering taking and extra GCSE in Italian during my frees, but I don't know if I'll get too confused with French and Italian...
So now I have pretty much nothing to do except wait for enrollment day. And then the start of term.
I'm kind of nervous and excited, more so than normal at the start of September. We shall have to wait and see what college life's really like
